Welcome to Fairweather Osteopathy
Hi, my name is Kay Fairweather and I am passionate about helping patients understand the role of movement and the nervous system in pain and wellbeing.

I graduated from Plymouth Marjon University, England with a Bachelor of Healthcare Science and a Master of Osteopathic Medicine. My passion for holistic care and healing has led me to complete additional postgraduate training in craniosacral therapy at the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy in the UK, and in women's pelvic health at the Osteopathic Pelvic Health Institute of Australia. My advanced training includes internal pelvic floor strength and prolapse assessment and treatment, as well as birth preparation. I work at the Women's Health Centre in Coffs Harbour on Tuesdays as Pelvic Health Educator.
In 2024 I was awarded a two-year scholarship with the University of South Australia as part of their Local Pain Educator Programme. The Uni of SA is leading the world in pain research, moving away from a biomedical approach and helping people understand why pain can be persistent and what we can do to address this. I take a biopsychosocial approach to pain and empower patients through education, with the knowledge and tools to manage their health long-term.
When the body functions in harmony, it performs optimally, healing from trauma and defending against illness. However, disruptions to this balance can occur, some temporary and others long-lasting. The sooner we recognise these imbalances, the sooner we can address them. I help patients tune in to areas of tension and encourage self-awareness, guiding them to release tension and regain harmony. By using techniques such as massage, manipulation, stretching, articulation and the breath, I work with the body’s natural healing processes to reduce restrictions, improve movement and relieve pain.
Whether you are experiencing pain, movement restrictions, have pelvic concerns or would like advice through pregnancy, my approach is designed to support you in achieving comfort, improved function, and lasting wellbeing.
I am SIRA approved, so able to provide treatments under Workers Compensation
I am a qualified yoga teacher and will begin teaching a Thursday night yoga class at 5.30pm starting in April 2025 at the Bellingen Yoga Studio. Please make contact if you would like more information.
